[facebook digest] The fall and redemption of IXUS 200 IS

  1. We can use LOOKMANO instead of OPTIONS when specifying Agda pragmas? What does LOOKMANO mean?    [2010-10-10 18:03:06 +0100]
    • Josh Ko ⇒ And then it seems the word doesn't matter at all. It can even be omitted.    [2010-10-10 18:04:21 +0100]
    • Josh Ko ⇒ No, I was entirely wrong. It didn't seem to matter because it was an ordinary comment...    [2010-10-10 19:52:40 +0100]
  2. Now we have a potential clash between lectures and classes...    [2010-10-11 08:55:01 +0100]
  3. A fire alarm went off and I got out of the house after a bit of hesitation. Fortunately it's a false one. We've still got our house.    [2010-10-11 21:36:44 +0100]  [ 1 人說讚!]
  4. While I was finding my way to Lecture Theatre B, I realised Comlab is not maze-like - it *is* a maze.
    昨天找 B 講堂途中,我頓悟到 Comlab 並不是像迷宮 — 它根本就是迷宮。    [2010-10-12 09:09:03 +0100]
    • J******** ⇒ Is it likes the building in harry potter?? Except the moving stairs. XDXD    [2010-10-12 22:13:33 +0100]
    • Josh Ko ⇒ Perhaps close to that. I would suggest you pay a visit to grasp the complexity of the building. XD    [2010-10-12 22:20:05 +0100]
  5. "Because the theory is foundational we should not expect a formal explanation of it. If we were to give a formal explanation of the theory then we should be appealing to another theory. Then that would be a better theory to use as a foundation." - Neil Leslie, Just What is it that Makes Martin-Löf's Type Theory so Different, so Appealing?    [2010-10-12 11:48:47 +0100]
    • Josh Ko ⇒ This note turns out to be not so useful (to me).    [2010-10-12 11:58:42 +0100]
  6. 找檯燈找了整個晚上,唯一很喜歡的卻好像從 UK 市場消失了⋯ ↦ Z-BAR High Power by Koncept    [2010-10-13 09:54:49 +0100]
  7. bought a desk lamp online with his debit card and the shopping website crashed when he was leaving the payment page and being redirected back to the website. The money has been debited, but fortunately they immediately confirmed the order after he made an inquiry.    [2010-10-13 11:10:06 +0100]
    • 王** ⇒ 網上標價有標錯嗎?比如說少一個零之類的XD    [2010-10-13 14:34:31 +0100]
  8. The scaffolds outside my window are being removed.    [2010-10-13 14:20:54 +0100]
    • 王** ⇒ how's the view? XD    [2010-10-13 14:35:21 +0100]
    • Josh Ko ⇒ Nice. (The scaffolds are not completely removed yet.) XD    [2010-10-13 20:11:38 +0100]
  9. Per Martin-Löf. Truth of a proposition, evidence of a judgement, validity of a proof. Synthese 73(3), pp 407 - 420, December 1987. This one is really useful.    [2010-10-13 14:23:05 +0100]
    • Josh Ko ⇒ "What is characteristic of this whole analysis, intuitionistic or verificationistic analysis, of the notions of proposition and truth is that the notion of proof of a proposition is conceptually prior to the notion of truth."    [2010-10-13 14:30:28 +0100]
  10. I dropped my camera and the lens got stuck halfway... No idea how expensive it would be to do a repair here in the UK yet.    [2010-10-14 02:02:27 +0100]
    • 王** ⇒ 囧    [2010-10-14 03:48:23 +0100]
    • Josh Ko ⇒ It seems the cost of fixing the camera can be as expensive as getting a new one in the UK (since the lens are likely to be replaced). But I think I am going to have it fixed anyway...    [2010-10-14 10:21:58 +0100]

[2010-10-14 17:01:23 +0100]
  13. deposited £500 cash into his bank account, entering the plastic money age.

  18. I have matriculated?    [2010-10-16 10:36:35 +0100]
    • S************ ⇒ HP+30, MP+30.    [2010-10-16 11:34:50 +0100]
    • Josh Ko ⇒ I followed people to St Catherine's College without knowing where they were heading for after Matriculation, and a few minutes ago I discovered that St Catherine's is in fact the newest college in Oxford. No wonder that its buildings are so modern. It's intriguing that a student in the oldest college (or at least one of the oldest colleges) just wandered to the newest one.    [2010-10-16 12:04:21 +0100]
  19. The Internet failed suddenly. I'll cross-check it's not a problem of my computer but I won't be online until the connection is fixed. (I am using my mobile typing this message, which is inconvenient.)    [2010-10-16 17:19:41 +0100]

    • 王** ⇒ greedy? XD    [2010-10-17 10:23:33 +0100]

    • L************** ⇒ a-ha. If you'd like to consume your conins, just go to any self checkout, throw all of them and then pay the remaiing by card.    [2010-10-17 13:29:16 +0100]
